佐藤航／WATARU ARCHITECTS 代表／一級建築士1979年、神奈川県生まれ。2003年、東京工業大学大学院卒業及びコクヨ入社。2018年、クリエイティブデザイン部着任。WORKからLIFEへ、プロダクトから建築へ、コクヨのデザイン領域拡張を部を率いて推進。2023年5月にコクヨでの領域拡張をステージを変えて加速するため、株式会社WATARU ARCHITECTSを設立。地方と都市、ソフトからハードなど、対岸を渡って異なる要素っを混ぜ合わせて次のユニークネスをつくることを目的とする。
WATARU SATO / WATARU ARCHITECTS Representative / First Class Architect, born in Kanagawa, Japan in 1979, graduated from Tokyo Institute of Technology and joined KOKUYO in 2003, and in 2018, became the General Manager of Creative Design Div, leading the department to expand KOKUYO's design domain from WORK to LIFE and from products, interior to architecture. In May 2023, he established WATARU ARCHITECTS Inc. to change the stage and create the next change. He works across boundaries from rural to urban, from office to hotel/lodging/commercial/residential, from interior to architecture/landscape, from planning to design. Crossing boundaries leads to always thinking about things from the other side of the river, thereby creating discontinuous empathy and creating the next flow of society.
