旧来の働き方から脱却し、Active Based Workingをベースとした5G時代を牽引する働き方のワークプレイスを構築した。コンセプトは“TRANSIT TUNNEL”。インターネットの根幹である「自律・分散・協調」の概念を軸に自由に場所を選びながら空間を旅するように楽しんで働くことができるオフィスだ。
日比谷公園に面した南北に細長い躯体をさらに4つの細長いトンネル状の空間に分割し、トンネル同士をゲートで繋ぐ構成。細長いトンネル状の空間を隣接させることで空間同士の接面を増やし、ワーカーが旅するように働く仕掛けを作った。この仕掛けによってABW的な働き方が促進されコンセプトであるTRANSIT TUNNELが体現される。ワーカーの旅の軌跡はネットワークの基本概念を想起させるドロネーラインに通じる。働き方のシンボルとしてデザインに取り込んだ。

A new workplace was created to break away from conventional workstyles and lead the 5G era through Activity-Based Working. The concept is “TRANSIT TUNNEL”—an office where people can freely choose their location and enjoy working as if journeying through space, guided by the foundational principles of the internet: autonomy, decentralization, and collaboration.
Facing Hibiya Park, the long north-south building was further divided into four elongated tunnel-like zones, connected by gateways. By placing these tunnel spaces side by side, the design increases points of contact between zones, encouraging workers to move fluidly between areas—like travelers navigating a landscape. This spatial strategy naturally fosters ABW-style work and brings the TRANSIT TUNNEL concept to life. The paths traced by workers evoke Delaunay lines, a geometric metaphor for network connectivity. These lines were incorporated into the design as a symbolic representation of the evolving workstyle.
